Walking the Wales Coast Path - Pembrokeshire - Solva to St Justinians
On Tuesday 1st February my friend Nia and I headed back to Pembrokeshire to tackle another section of the Wales Coast Path. It was my first coastal path walk of the year, and it felt so good to be back, and to tick off a 10.5 mile section from Solva to St Justinians.

We were so lucky to get a blue sky day, and it was sunny for most of the walk, and we even felt warmth from the sun. A very welcome thing in February!
Solva
The walk, whilst long, was mostly level, with just a handful of uphills. Which was very welcome after the last strecth we tackled together, Broad Haven to Solva, felt like a constant barrage of uphill after uphill.
The scenery was incredible too. The walk started off with beaches and dramatic cliffs and rock formations, and slowly morphed into a rugged and wild landscape, that felt like we were miles from anywhere, not just a stones throw from St Davids. It was truly breathtaking, and a walk I would definitely recommend. I have no doubt I will be revisiting sections of this walk in the near future.
Here’s how my progress with the Pembrokeshire section of the coastal path is going. The black lines are the parts I have walked. I still have quite a way to go, but I am excited for all the walks I still have ahead of me.
