Rebecca and Eugene's Wedding at The New Gower Hotel, Bishopston
On Saturday 29th June 2019, Rebecca and Eugene got married at The New Gower Hotel in Bishopston. This wedding was extra special for me as Rebecca and Eugene are friends of mine. I spent the day switching between photographer and guest, which was an interesting juggle, but it was such a wonderful wedding, and a real privilege to be a part of it.
The Ceremony at Tabernacle United Reformed Church in Mumbles
The ceremony took place at Tabernacle URC Church. Rebecca’s Father is actually a URC minister, so having the wedding here meant he was able to be the officiant who married them, which was a lovely touch.
Rebecca’s beautiful wedding dress was actually second hand. She found it at the Oxfam Bridal shop in Coventry, it was such a great find and it suited her so well. She looked absolutely stunning!

The Couple’s Portraits at Langland
We headed over to the cliffs at Langland for the Couple’s Portraits. Which not only provided a gorgeous backdrop, but was very meaningful for Rebecca and Eugene as it was there that Eugene proposed.
The Group Photographs
After the ceremony we headed over to the lovely lawn by Oystermouth Castle to do a few group photographs. Rebecca and Eugene opted for a mix of formal and fun group photos.
It is well worth taking a bit of time out of your busy day to get some family portraits, as it is not often everyone is all together and you have a photographer to hand! That being said I appreciate people don’t want to spend what can feel like hours waiting around or doing endless poses, so I do my best to move through the photos as quickly as possible, so it doesn’t take up too much of your day.
The Reception at The New Gower Hotel
The reception was held at The New Gower Hotel in Bishopston. They were lucky enough to get a sunny Saturday, so people were able to make the most of the outdoor space there, which was really lovely. Rebecca had even made some games herself for people to play, and the lovely folk from Popcycle were there handing out their delicious ice lollies, which were very welcome on such a warm day.
It was a really fun filled wedding, with so many lovely personal touches, and I loved getting to be there for them as both a friend and a photographer.
